Jeff along with fellow The Carpet Frogs bandmate Gerry Finn (The Rowdymen) can be seen playing acoustically at The Block Co. in Toronto on a regular basis in-between tour dates with their other bands.

THE CARPET FROGS

[Current Band]
The Carpet Frogs are a Toronto area rock band with members Nick Sinopoli, Jeff Jones, Michael Zweig, Sean Fitzsimons & Gerry Finn. They  perform as Burton Cummings backing band as well as doing gigs under their own name.
They are currently on tour with Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman as The Guess Who.

TOM COCHRANE

Tom Cochrane and Band consists of singer Tom Cochrane along with former Red Rider band mate Jeff Jones (Bass) and Bill Bell (Guitars) along with drummer Davide Direnzo.The current band lineup has been around for several years.

GOWAN

Lawrence Henry Gowan is a Scottish Canadian musician, born in Glasgow. Gowan has been both a solo artist and the current lead vocalist and keyboardist of the band Styx since May 1999. His musical style is usually classified in the categories of pop and progressive rock.

INFIDELS

Infidels formed in 1990 when Molly Johnson reunited with Norman Orenstein, her partner from the band Alta Moda. They added Washington Savage, Jeff Jones and Owen Tennyson to the lineup, and released a self-titled album in 1991 on IRS Records.

RED RIDER

Red Rider

[Previous Band]

Red Rider was formed in Toronto in 1975 by Peter Boynton (keyboards/vocals), Ken Greer (guitars/keyboards), Rob Baker (drums), Arvo Lepp (guitar), and Jon Checkowski (bass). ln 1978, they added singer/guitarist Tom Cochrane. Lepp and Checkowski left and Jeff Jones joined on bass. They signed with Capitol and released their debut album Don’t Fight It in October 1979. The singles “White Hot” and “Don’t Fight It” helped the album quickly achieve gold status in Canada. Their second album, As Far as Siam (June 1981), featured the hit “Lunatic Fringe.” Keyboardist Peter Boynton was replaced by Steve Sexton for the third album, Neruda (March 1983), which produced radio hits “Human Race” and “Napoleon Sheds His Skin.” For 1984’s Breaking Curfew, John Webster took over keyboards, but the album underperformed commercially and they disbanded.

Stingaree was a Canadian band around 1976-1977 and consisted of Bernie LaBarge, Jeff Jones, Brian MacLeod, Skip Layton, Larry Hamel and Don Harris.

RONNIE HAWKINS

Ronald Hawkins, born 1935 is an American/Canadian musician whose career has spanned more than half a century. His career began in Arkansas, where he was born and raised. He found success in Ontario, Canada, and has lived there for most of his life.

OCEAN

Ocean

[Previous Band]

Ocean formed in Toronto in 1970.  They are best known for their million-selling 1971 single “Put Your Hand in the Hand”.

Ocean consisted of Greg Brown (vocals, keyboard), Jeff Jones (bass, vocals), Janice Morgan.

Their first album was on Yorkville (Canada) and Kama Sutra in the US. Kama Sutra also released the band’s second album in both the U.S. and Canada. Ocean managed additional hits in Canada with the songs “We’ve Got a Dream” and “One More Chance”. The group disbanded in 1975.
